The finishing school provides short term courses to make graduates industry ready and assist in availing employment opportunity in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Academy for Clinical Excellence (ACE) : The Academy for Clinical Excellence (ACE) is a pioneering clinical research training institute located in Bombay. Biotech Industrial Training Programme (BITP) :The Government of India under Department of Biotechnology (DBT) has been running Biotech Industrial Training Programme for biotech students for past 20 years or so. Thousands of students apply for this programme every year and around 150 biotech companies participate in the training. The training is for a period of six months during which every trainee is paid a stipend. The company is also paid a bench fee to cover expenses towards training. The programme is mutually beneficial to the students and companies as it provides industrial exposure to the students and an opportunity for industry to select prospective manpower. This programme is advantageous for the companies as it gives an opportunity to assess the performance of the trainees and subject to availability, suitable trainees could be considered for placement.
