Burr hole trephination is a safe and effective surgical option to treat patients with chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH). However, it often results in a small but undesirable scalp depression. Covering the burr-hole with a synthetic bone graft material is the ideal option to solve this problem.
Product Design and Silent Features
The product is a mushroom-like plug of hydroxyapatite material, applicable for the closure of cranial burr-holes remaining after brain surgery. The button has a special bi-layer structure with a dense upper layer and a porous lower layer, designed as monolithic piece using a special slip-cast technique. This mimics the cranial bone and proven to integrate with human bone. The intellectual property rights of the product are protected.
