Laminoplasty is performed to treat spinal stenosis in the neck or low back. The lamina of the vertebra is carefully cut and expanded to create more space in the spinal canal, which relieves pressure from the spinal cord and nerve roots. Small wedges or pieces of bone are placed so that the enlarged spinal canal will remain in place. This product acts as strong biocompatible wedge which will integrate with bone.
Product Design and Silent Features
This is a specific synthetic bone graft substitute design based on hydroxyapatite, the bone mineral. Highly dense and strong hydroxyapatite ceramic is prepared in wedge shape to provide support to the expanded vertebra in laminoplasty surgery. The material is prepared through chemical reaction in implantable grade purity.The intellectual property rights of the production process are protected. This is a dense hydroxyapatite ceramic body shaped as a wedge, compatible with the sizes of the vertebrae.
